the classes need to be more frequent especally scripting and structured so that those who want to learn can.
When i ask others about classes they say just keep an eye on the events but becuase most events arent posted till day of its impossibleto know and becuse i have obligations for that time frame or i miss the event becasue i dont have time to check the website.
is it possible for more teachers if not actual people how about some npc devoted to subjects
where classes happen every 30 mins and it could happen at sl university this would help others stay around longer most dont like scripting for others and id rather learn there are some things that i invision that only i can do..

Classes are taught by volunteer users. If no one wants to teach, theres nothing LL can do about it. IMHO if you cant figure stuff out on your own, a teacher aint gonna help you. SL is simple.

SL is simple for programmers, but programming isn't simple. I remind myself of that a lot.
Wiki isn't the answer either, that's information, not instruction.
Try some basic JavaScripting if you're really totally new to programming. You can practice on any machine with a text editor and browser, and you get used to working with a C-like language and seeing things happen as a result of your code. Once JavaScript makes sense to you, SL gets surprisingly easy.
If you are already a programmer though, there's tons of examples in the world to tear apart. The only thing that might get you is states and physics, but if you get JavaScript, states is just a matter of explaining it to you briefly, and physics is a whole 'nother matter. A lot of people in SL go a long way without ever using either of them and create cool stuffs.
