Wouldn't it be cool if when we typed a http adress into the chat (or IM) field, it became a clickable link. Or in a notecard. When you click it, the appropriate page opens in a web browser. So many places and people in SL have websites. And it would remove the hassle of having to go to chat history, cut and paste the link...
What do you think?

As long as it's not possible to hide the address of the link -- otherwise, we'll get people trying to trick others into visiting sites such as goat.cx.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. I've been asking for this for a long time now. I find it amazing that links aren't clickable in Chat History. I'm against having them clickable in regular chat (when its with no background on your screen) because then you might accidently click a link, but if your chat history is open links should DEFINITLY be clickable.
Also Note Cards would be great if we could put clickable links in them, having HTML in note cards would be awsome too (bold, underline, etc. tags)... but just having links would be nice as of now.
I agree, they shouldn't be able to be hidden, when/if HTML is put into note cards, when you mouse over a link maybe it should show the real URL... but anyway.
Launching default browser would be best.
I hate having to copy and paste links, such a pain in the ass especialy when chat is going.

I was thinking that you would have to type the full http://www.secondlife.com adress. The HTML A tag would not be allowed. This would prevent the system from being abused. And would make it easier to edit and insert links. If you used HTML code, you'd have to have a read mode and a edit mode for notecards, so that you dont see the raw code.

Bumping because it does not make logical sense that this has not already been implemented.
