I'd love to be able to have my client send a gentle message of disinterest to IMs without hiding local chats.

There are many times I'd like to be able to collaborate with those around my av on scripting or building or even just chat at an event without being swarmed by IMs, too.

I want an away that doesn't abort the moment the mouse gets nudged.

I'd like a whole series of states that I could use like:

"Begone!"
"sensory deprivation"
"oohmmmm" (lotus position)
"busy"
"away"
"would some1 please chat wif me?"
"I'm craving attention"
"I'm despirate for you to notice me!"
"meglomania"

The first state would include a push script inside the avatar that hurls everyone near you sims and sims away.
The last state would emit particles and play continuous looping fanfares.

In all seriousness, I almost never use any of the available states, but I agree, it would be great if we could use a "Busy" that displayed local chat.

Hehe! Very cute Lumiere, I like those.

Anyway. I was sitting building in Natoma the other day, busy set on. Needed a break for a bit and building is so calming. Anyway I was thinking how rude it would appear to others if i didnt speak cause I didnt see what they say.
I ended up replying to most Im's anyway :-\

But having more choice in the Busy/Away I think is a good idea.

I made an attachment just yesterday that puts an orbiting "AWAY AWAY" message around my head.

I would like to see a more fully featured contact list, ability to set options on a per person basis etc. ICQ had a really good model for this imho, I wouldnt mind seeing something similar implimented in some form here.
