Uncle Linden, when are we going to be able to simply sell everything on a parcel?

I want to buy a sim, develop it with roads / houses / etc and sell individual parcels to new players with everything on it (houses, cars, etc)

When are we going to have this functionality? I had heard that it had been bumped up to the #1 priority.

Technically, It seems to me that it's just a loop through all objects, if fully transferable (including all children) then change ownership, otherwise return to previous owner. What's the technical challenge? Why doesn't this show up in a patch?

Philip Linden himself suggested Land Developing as an activity he'd like to see in his blog.
Land developing simply isn't feasible without this functionality.

The overwhelming options that are available to new users can be very confusing. If they have a pre-existing build to adapt and alter until they get used to things, I can only imagine that this would be very beneficial - for everyone.

This is also a great way to zone without forcing players down a path. By having pre-existing builds, then the sim will already have a pretty strong feel to it.

I would like a "Sell To" feature for objects.

I would like a 'dont sell to' option for all my objects! Like a personal ban list of people I don't want to deal with owning my stuff.

I never thought of that before... but i agree completely. There have been a few cases where i wish i could just say "No, I'm Not Selling To You". :D

I third that! Sorry to contribute to the changing of the topic, (I hate when people do that) but I've meet people in the past who knew how to and practiced the copy of no-copy items, and if I could I would block them from ever getting a product of mine from any source.

BUt if someone really wanted to steal they could just get another account I guess. But in many cases they wont go through that trouble.

/me punishes self for going off topic

I also like the original topic idea. Seems like something I would already expect.

When? I am not sure. But I will look into it and try to get an idea - if,how, when.

Dont worry about that uncle be more concerned with fixing the im to email feature so that we actually get ims when they are sent and not 9-20 hours later.

This would be a great feature, although right now an advantageous person could script a box to move around a sim and rez everything. Then it's just the box to sell.
