I have been getting a lot of vote-spam in the last few days because the group voting system is NOT intuitive.
It needs to be changed so that when you log in and get the "vote/Later" dialog, the vote button takes you directly to the Yes/No dialog for that issue.
Right now, people don't actually read their screen, and instead create new voting topics with their responses. This just spams everybody's mailboxes with new topics that are things like "yes, that's a good idea" or "no, that's stupid".
Also, the voting tools need to be explained better. I think I understand what a quorum is, but most people (me included) will simply scratch their head and drool when presented with the voting screen.

i never see noting notices. i never have. i only see the results when the vote is over and it's too late for me to participate. then i go look at the history and see that i haven't even seen all of the latest results.
is this supposed to be fixed in 1.5?

I too have witnessed the use of the group voting system for the purpose of making group announcements. It is annoying, because we get the announcement twice, not just once.
Part of this is due to the inability for group messages to be saved if the person is offline and does not have the calling card of the person who sent the message. Which I think kind of defeats one purpose of the groups.
