Would it be at all possible for us to get a feature that highlights objects with listeners?
This would come in handy to, say, let us know if we are being spied upon.
Also, it would let us optimize simulator performance by returning objects with listeners.

Agreed, this would be VERY handy.

While we're at it, how about limited avatars to one attachment with a listener at a time, and only having listeners on attachments listening to channels other than zero? That would help with lag at most events by cutting down on the amount of text parsing required by the server!

i have no gripe with Eggy's request. Maybe collor code it so that objects that are lagging the sim show up brighter for highlighting.

The idea of limiting listens on attachments i can't support. There are other causes of lag besides just listens. A blanket limit on the number of listens per AV has more disadvantages then advantages. It will virtualy destroy the scripted attachment market that uses listens.

Example, yesterday i bought a set of armor. The armor changes color on command; it's something like 12 attachments. To do a similar system without a listen in each attachment isn't a noob level script.

if you don't want scripts to cause lag hold an event on no script land.
