One of the most annoying things about "griefing", is their ability to blow up large gatherings of residents with a single swift push bomb(i.e. C4), regardless of wether the land parcel is a safe zone or not. I don't think I need to get into the actual dynamics that this adds to running an event in SL, as most who have been to one or two, know exactly what it's like to suddenly find themselves danciing in the bottom of a lake 2 or 3 sims from the event location. I propose the feature: Request permission to Push. If the land parcel owner applies the push it should not require permission and should take effect immediately, but only to the border line of ther parcel. As soon as this point is crossed, a popup dialog asking permission to push should be displayed. Same with any Push applied to an avatar who is on safe land , not being pushed by the owner. Heart zones(unsafe zones) should remain the same as they are now, anything goes. I mean really, what's the difference between offering to hug you via script and applying a 10 bajjillion power Push via script? You shouldn't get pushed unfairly unless you've given permission to do so. It is animating isn't it? In a haphazard, random, out of body sort of way

What happens if you push someone's attachment? I can't remember offhand and I'm at my parents' house so can't check.

What about group land? Or land owned by one person but built on (the pushing object) by another (with owner's permission of course). Certainly you'd want it to be a one time request for objects owned by that person, presumably that could be turned off somewhere else.
Maybe you wouldn't get a request if the pushing object had been present on the land for some time previously (24 hours say).. although this would leave open the possibility of time bombs and rule out any kind of legitimate use of pushing by something that gets rezzed at the time of use... unless you have some get-around for that too.

If someone was going to grief you with a push script, and they couldn't, they'd grief you with something else. Replicating particle emitters seem pretty popular and just as hard to deal with.

I'd say. If someone grief me, I'll just report them at my sight.
