I consider arrows keys almost useless in IM window. I get upset each time I try to move my avatar and keys not responding because im in IM.
Could we have a pref to set "arrows keys move avatar while in IM" the same way we have this option in chat preferences ? Please

Well, considering that it's only a minor inconventience when I want to move in order to use the arrow keys to move the cursor back and forth to edit my spelling.....
As long as it gets implemened as defaulting to the way it is now, I don't really care.

Personally I'd rather use WASD to control my avatar and use arrow keys for chat (moving forward/back), while having chat only entered if I've focused on the chat area. An option for such things would be nice.

How about having the chat bar move to the history window when the history window is open, so that chat works like im? That gives you three options...

1. No chat, all movement.
2. No movement, all chat.
3. The current mixed situation.

Then, if you have the chat bar hidden or in history, put an IM bar down there...

There used to be a preference setting in (Prefs, Chat/IM) to change this, not sure if still there after all the recent changes.
