Drawing distance for land

I would like if I could set the drawing distance for the land much higher than for the buildings. This way when I fly around, the land will nearly always be there and the structures fill when I get close to where they are. I feel it's the structures rather than the land itself that causes me the low framerates.

I'm currently set at 128 for the drawing distance as this gives me excellent frame rates. The other day I was working in my bit of land when I decided to to up it to 512 to see what it looked like. I went from feeling a bit isolated in my little corner of SL to suddenly appearing in this huge land with valleys and mountains, but the frame rate droped right down. I feel being able to draw the land without the structures might be a good compromise.

Have you tried the "Disable far clip" checkbox? :)

Thanks Eggy that helped me a bit :) and the frame rate is nearly the same.
