Hi,
It would be really great if different regions of the mainland could have appropriate seasonal weather. It would also be great if it was possible to read a weather forecast, either in-game or on the SL website. (The forecast wouldn't have to be 100% accurate of course!)

I love this idea! I have seen it snow, but I assumed the Linden's were doing it.
I would love to have different weather...I have been thinking about making my property reflect the snowy weather here in Wyoming..to match whats going on in RL.
Great idea!

There are weather systems you can purchase that will set this up. It's alot of work on your part, but you control exactly how the weather is, how strong, the visibility, etc. Be ready to reach in your pockets to pay for the good ones too, they aren't very cheap. But if you have the money for them, get them. Ive been on a sim that had one and I watched it in action...and I was amazed...showed the clouds moving, getting darker, starting to rain, the sound effects...sky lit up in places when there was thunder growling...it was amazing. But it was about $60 USD I guess...

I'd even be happy if the weather was just either sunny or cloudy, and if the sun brightness and wind strength varied accordingly. And the clouds could just be a flat texture, no need for them to be too fancy. I think even this small addition would make a difference...

Any progress on weather front?

Has anyone learned anything more about weather in SL since these posts were first created? Specifically, can you control your own weather? Do you think it would be cool to "import" the real weather conditions from an actual location in real life into SL? Any other interesting weather ideas?
Also, does anyone know where to purchase the "weather systems" that Eric Stuart mentioned? Thanks!
