When putting someone on Your friends list, it gives them the abiity to map Your whereabouts. Even though they are friends, their maybe times You wish to not be mapped, so perhaps an option button on the friends list, so You can either allow them to map or not.
Only A suggestion

Since this P2P teleporting there is no longer provacy........hAd countless morons map me and try to get on my land. You think LLabs would let us turn on and off the mapping of ourselves.............

Apparently it's either friend them and get: 1) Mapping 2) P2P TP 3) Online/Offline notices 4) Listing in the IM window. OR calling card them and get none of it, but you can r-click the CC and IM them, just with no way of knowing if they are online or not. PERSNALLY I'd like #3 and #4 but not #1 and #2 (I've rarely had any p2p to me and I've rarely done it to other people, one person didn't mind at all (and he's most of that "rarely"  ).
