According to the known issues forum not changing the object name in inventory is a bug! Please, please DON'T fix this. I thought it was a purposeful change in behavior and I love it! I use this to output more pretty text from my attachments, and now a sim crash etc won't leave the object's name horribly mangled. Occassionally when something really bad happened the object name used to get changed and you may have no idea where it is when it gets detached. I don't see how changing the inventory name of an object would be useful for attachments. Can anyone else tell me why it would be useful to do this? Thank you!
