since the vehicle sims were changed over for relay for life i have been thinking about the new set up vs. the old. in the normal set up for the vehicle sims there are many unused builds, there are 2 small closed race courses, in the NW corner and on the E side. that i have never seen people using. even the hoverboard race track, which gets occasional use, is difficult for many SL vehicles to reliably use.
also there is only a very limited area for boating/submarines. and the majority of use is with flying craft.
with the relay for life setup there are many advantages, and with a few tweaks could be a much more useable regular set up for the vehicle sims.
using the land to make as much as possible will reduce rez time making it more possible to circumnavigate the sims with minimal load times and greater reliability.
a six sim oval around the outside (bare ground not prims) for racing cars over level ground.
a more challenging ring of cliff top (with guard rails) and low prim bridges making a smaller circuit of the sims.
a deep central lake, possibly with smaller offshoots to make rivers like the lake that was there. possibly also with a SLSF sailing course buoys in place for races.
im sure there is plenty im missing, and would welcome feedback. i attached a quick pict of how things could roughly look. my photoshop skills arent so great. and there should be a wider band of flat ground around the edges than my pict shows.
if any lindens see this: if there is general support from the people that are often in the vehicle sims to make changes to them will the changes be made?
