Track info display for streaming music

I've mentioned this before in past general suggestion threads for streaming music changes, but just in case it slipped through the cracks I'm giving it its own thread.

Please give us a way to access the track title / artist info for music streams on land parcels. Either have a readout on the UI somewhere, or have it accessable via LSL so we can make our own readouts.

Most shoutcast streams transmit information about what is playing (which shows up in a normal mp3 player). Not only is it convenient for the listener, but it is good for the artist being played. I'm tired of loading up my web browser every time I like what I hear and want to see what's playing.

I've heard this functionality is in the FMOD audio library that SL uses, so it seems it wouldn't be too hard to hook this up.

I could envision next to the Stop button another button that says "Info". Click on it, and it shows basically the same stuff that WinAmp shows when you right-click the title and choose "file info" (or at least whatever info FMOD is willing to divulge).

Yeah, that would be better than nothing... although I'd prefer a persistent readout that we can toggle on and off. Maybe that's what you mean. There's plenty of room for a string of info text next to the stop button.

Or in the info bar, next to the parcel name...

Being able to see the artist, album, title within SL would be very cool.
