Basically, use special skeleton objects such as a hinge(180Degrees along one axis), elbow(90Degrees along one axis), and a socket(180 Degrees along 2 axis'). Using this method we could expect more new animations being developed, plus the ability to animate objects to make things like living pets that fluidly walk and AI enemies for FPS's.
