Copiable Avatar Names

This is just a suggestion, a good one i think
As a fairly new person to Second life i have had to learn to master many new obstacles, some i have handled some I haven"t (flying). My biggest obstacle is saying hi to people on the screen. With all the long and odd names it takes forever to get a name on the screen, by the time i type it they are gone. Is there anyway you can make it so we can highlight the name on the screen, double click it and then the name goes directly into the text box? I know it can be done as ive used such a program before. Another suggestion is your copy and paste feature. Wouldnt it be nice to just highlight the text...right click the screen and hit copy....then hit paste. These little things make operating the chat area so much easier. I could go on and on with suggestions but for now these are the things that would help me and im sure other new players as well.

Um, just say hi to them while looking at them? Or if you really don't want to, call them by only their first name, or an abbreviation thereof.

You can copy their name from the chat history screen. Or, you can open their profile and copy the name from there. But, as Darwin said, it is often faster to abbreviate it or type it. I don't mind typing the whole name, but I'm a reasonably fast typist.

I type with my teeth. And, for those of you who don't know if I'm being sarcastic or not.... "I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE BABY JESUS!"

This is easy, has always been doable, and no right clicking need be involved. Personally I don't see the need, but if you really want to do it, here's how in 3 simple steps:

1. Keep chat history open at all times

2. Highlight whatever text you want and press ctrl c

3. Click on your chat line and press ctrl v

Ctrl C and Ctrl V have been around since pretty much the dawn of time and are infinitely faster than right clicking and then navigating to the right spot on a pop-up window.

This obviously won't work if the person whose name you want to copy hasn't spoken yet, but if that's the case then chances are he's not going anywhere. Just say "Hi".
