Merging Propsals

Ok just taking a quick look around at the propsals in the voting tools and there are alot that are similar and if there was any plans to maybe merge them and start a more moderated forum post to help with them?

One example would be teh following propsals:

Prop: 2176 - More Attatchment Spots (1142)
Prop: 686 - Additional attachment points wings and tail (229 votes)
Prop: 1178 - Multiple Attachments To Same Area (190 votes)
Prop: 2047 - More avatar attachment points (174 votes)
Prop: 482 - neck attachment point (96 votes)
Prop: 1869 - More avatar attachment points (86 votes)
Prop: 1271 - Multiple Attachments (48 Votes)
Prop: 2529 - Attach more than 1 item on a body part. (48 votes)
Prop: 530 - Multiple Attchements (39 votes)
Prop: 1663 - Multiple attach points (31 votes)
Prop: 2038 - Allow more than 1 attachment on all body parts of an Avatar (29 Votes)
Prop: 2032 - Neck Attachment (8 votes)

Possible merger:
Prop: 1036 - Jewlery/Accessory Attachment Point Improvement (6 votes)


These alone are in the attachment sub area which has a total of 63 Propsals including 3 "can't do" and two other "accepted" propsals. Obviously if there was some way to inform these people that are no obviously gone to maybe merge into one vote group and talk maybe something could be done. Also it would reduce the number of tracked votes significantly. since there are over ten here listed and only 58 active propsals.

I see this was half done on two other propsals. I say half as there are more like it in that same sub section involving "locking" which sadly says see the forum post but Angel forgot to link the topic in the forums. >_<

I'm putting the suggestion here instiead of LL answers as maybe others can find multiples elsewhere to merge, etc. Also maybe suggest as a community to allow voters to be notifed of "new simialr votes" to see if maybe all those voters jump over. I bet half these were made and then forgotten since few have had updates.

Nice roundup there, Krazzora. I've had an "urge to merge" many times too — it'd certainly consolidate and tidy up a lot of shared ideas which are otherwise scattered.

Ability to merge in the Feature Voting Tool, or at least, closer relate and link similar issues, is something we *definitely* want to have in the future. I don't have an ETA on it, but it seems like it's eventual. And necessary for the reasons you stated. Thanx!

That works I just wanted to give you data that way incase you wanted to you could show Great Phillip up there what's going on if nothing else. ^_^

What about an email? I know when votes are freed up from a declined or accepted propsal an email is sent out telling them thier votes are freed. maybe there should be a "reminder" or if you closed/declined the smaller once with the notice of a larger propsal above as was done for one propsal?
