Since SL has physics, and will someday get even better physics in Havok 2 (sigh), how difficult would it be to have prims that can be set to act as joints? Variables could set how "loose" the joint is, which axis it can and cannot move on, etc...
I mean we'd have tails that actually swayed, reacted to flight, the wind -- we could have capes that flapped, curtains that fluttered, etc...

Doesn't that already exist? It's just so incredibly buggy (thanks to Havoc1?) that nobody uses it, as I understand it.

Well what I'm thinking of is you create three prims, one long one, one tiny one, one long one, in that order. Link them all, then edit the small one in the middle and turn it into a "joint". Now the two long prims dangle from the join and can be manipulated.
