I would love to see a" Friend" level of friendship that informs if they are on or off line and the ability to IM easily, and a "Close Friend" level that adds the ability to track on the map and tp to thier location.

For what you are calling a 'friend', just exchange calling cards. Right click on them and select 'give card'. That does not add them to your friends list, but you can look in your inventory of calling cards to see if they are on line, and you can use the card to initiate an IM to them.
For a 'close friend', use the "Add friend" option and add them to your Friends list. _____________________

Yeah I got a couple that I have never spoken to but wanted to friend me. I give them a chance to make it happen or else I just remove them from my list.

My friends list is getting out of hand. I open the friends list window and have to scroll and scroll and scroll to see the names at the bottom. Some of those folks I haven't spoken to in ages, but we have a sentimental attachment and I don't really want to delete them... Others I'm not spending a lot of time with just now, but that could easily change as time goes by.
I'd be happy to have a way to shorten the list of "friends" that shows to a manageable length, while still being able to keep a much larger number of friends. A "close friends" category, where people show on your friends list so you can see at a glance if they're on- or offline would be good. Anyone else would still have normal friendship permissions; you could rotate them in or out of "close friends" but not always have them visible on your friends list. They could do the same with you. You wouldn't each have to have the other in "close friends" for them to show on your list. You'd retain a mutual friendship; it would just be a matter of where you chose to look for their name -- close to hand on the list, or in your calling cards folder. |

I have like 86 calling cards in inventory of all the people that have offered me friendship. 2 levels, maybe 3 would be great. Friends, Acquaintences, and Business Relationships.

You can exchange calling cards without adding friend.
It's in the second level menu. |
