I would love to see a sim performance history log.
Such a tool would show the hour by hour perfomance of each sim so that, as a person who wants to purchase/develop land, I could make an informed decision about buying land in a particular sim or not.
As it stands, I have to run around and look at a sim multiple times across multiple days in order to get a feel. And that is admittedly inaccurate.
Now I know that sim performance is routinely affected by events, griefing wars, poor scripts, whatever. Still, consider that I might want to make a land purchase for a particular reason that would make a significant (or insiginificant) impact on a sim and my neighbors. If I am planning a club and there is already a maojr club in that sim, then chances are I will find that out - but if there are three minor clubs each spreading their events across/throughout a week, I might overlook that... and screw myself and neighbors by moving in with a megaclub.
Likewise, if I just want a secluded getaway with, say only 1024 m2 (enough prims for a small house and a mini-workshop) then I would like to know if I am going to be fighting the lag monster in that sim also.
The history log/tool should IDEALLY be a web page for each sim, broken down hourly and by day of the week - also providing history for the past 30 days, two weeks at a minimum.
It's obviously information that the Lindens have available. It's information equivalent to that which I would be able to obtain in the real world (traffic patterns, roas use levels, ambient/traffic noose levels, prximity to major traffic routes, etc.). Real estate purchasing in SL should be informed, not happenstance or a purchase of passion/greed.
