Approved. This should happen when two or more people attempt to open a "Modify" script with the same script key id and "Edit My Items" permissions given by the creator.

I was thinking of something that would bypass the permissions system completely, working more like group convos do in most IM progs.
Have a text entry field with an "Invite User" button and a checkbox to add someone to this script window as a "spectator" - read-only. Great for classes!
Of course, if you have permissions on something, you should probably be able to proactively add yourself to an editing session.
