I cannot beleive how many people don't know that you can drag a folder onto your avatar to wear the contents...When I give somebody a folder with a full outfit (with prim attachments and all) they slowly put each individual piece on...and are surprised by the fact they can just drag the folder onto themesleves when I tell them. Please....! Make this a tip of the day!

you know, I've been using this software for 2.5 years, and that never came to mind.

you learn a new thing every day... thanks!

I learned this fairly early on in my SL career...but it took me a while to learn that if you had inadvertently emptied the folder, (by making an outfit with the contents which had been whisked to another folder for example), then if you drag the nearly empty folder onto your head, all your clothes and attachments drop off and you will be standing naked in your shoes...or hair...or whatever is left in the folder...alone.

So...beware...be very aware! Check the contents of the folder before you drag it onto your avatar, or you - and the people around you - may be in for a surprise.

On that note, people have requested an "Attach from folder" prompt, because they accidentally drag the folder onto someone else.

DONT FORGET!!!

Doing this detaches any prims you had from other folders, including clothes! Its imperative to remember this is useful but can be annoying if wanted other things like prim hair to stay attached. Your best bet is to customize a folder with your basic avatar you use that way when you do this u can quickly get back into the shape skin hair etc, you had before!!

P.S. Bananna Phone ^_^

Something else that's pretty cool, you don't have to link something to pick it up, drag a box over all the prims in your detatched object, then take it! So when you rezz it, it will be detached. This is good for when you have an object too big to connect, so just take it detached, it will still be one object in your inventory.
