Keyboard layout switching.
03-17-2006 06:10
Iv not tested SL Windows version untill now 1.9.* As the linux client is abit behind I desided to play it some in windows. And I have noticed a problem I never got in the Linux client. But I dont know if it is just Windows 1.9.. or if it allways have been ther. I dont get it in any other game or aplication in Windows, so it should be some bug in SL. The problem is as follows. The Keyboard layout is switching by itself constantly! so one minute I have se/fi-latin1 and the other I have US (I think..?) layout. I have not found any ingame settings for this. It is NOT justthe åäö that works/not work, its the entire layout thatkeep switching, all special chars like / () {} [] " and so on changes place so it gets VERY anoying to write any code! Im sorry if this is a known issue, have not been able to find it in the forum. And if ther is a simple sulotion please tell me

There's this option in the Windows language bar to switch between keyboard layouts using alt-shift. Maybe you have activated that? I have observed my keyboard layout switching itself too, it happens when I build in SL and press alt and shift together by mistake, for example when zooming in on things.

Wow, I always had major issues understanding the 24/hour time stuff. Never thought of it being difficult the other way round. I suppose it's kinda like doing metric/whatever it is the US uses conversions. lol

Although I use Alt+Shift for zoom! (old habbit as I normaly use the Linux client and just Alt will move the window) Thanx loL!
