If there was something one could wear on the head that was visible in mouselook it would open up all sorts of possibilities... namely in making custom user Interfaces for stuff in SL.
Currently you can see prims attached anywhere else on the body, so I dont see why it would be hard to designate some attachment point on the head to be visible.
Thanks for your time

That's a good question. There would have to be an additional option to show a head attachment or no, since so many people might want to see their AV but not the big prim that covers their head - me being one of them. Not to mention all the accidental times people 'wear' stuff and the default positions seems to be the head - and go blind in the process. It would be pretty cool to have a HUD infront of your face that'ld display info instead of using llSetText or whatever. Maybe it's something in the works? Wish i knew more Grim.

Not a perfect answer - but doesn't something held in right hand show up in mouselook? Couldn't you do a fixed pose with that hand attach your HUD to it? Just a thought.

interesting idea, but wont solve my problem... I need the hus to move with the head as the avatars head moves in mouselook.
