I would like to see some sort of grouping within the 'Popular Places' headings on the search tab. Perhaps listed as the events tab is now. The popular places is not really indicative or a true reflection of what happens in SL.The traffic counts are of course growing for the same places all the time because, that's what everyone sees FIRST!
Many people coming in, use that search function to see where to go in SL. There is no way to see where the most popular Music venues are, or Art galleries, or Machinima sim ( ie Susi Spicolis) etc. With some sort of listing enabled, it would give a truer reflection of the wonderful places to go and explore in SL,
Svarga, Lost Gardens of Apollo, The educational facilities etc.( and hundreds more which would fill this page!). It would broaden the communityin a wonderful way, allowing lesser known places to be visited and of course encourage new ideas and people working together.
Newbies coming in would therefore have a reasonable chance of seeing a range of many wonderful places in SL rather than just the Casinos and Sex clubs that for goodness knows how long, have been dominating the Popular Lists.
It offers also a chance for people to head directly to things that interest them , they will be more likely to stay and bring more people to the community 'IF' they can see that SL is not all about sex and dancing for money!.

Those places on the most popular list is not a reflect of where newbies go or how popular they riley are.
But a reflect on people who set up camping spots in SL The most popular list is nothing more than a list showing where to go to see people doing nothing and idling away.
This is a big problem in SL, And should be dealt with, many talented people are missing out cause of this much revenue is being lost for they cant find the real good places.
And many newbies get the wrong impression of SL by this.
My purpose, Limit dwell capping 10 dwell per person a day or a max of 1hr from each person. This will kill camping places for they will continue to pay people who are no longer making them any more dwell or money.
This eventually would also effect the people who have the land and the cash they get from the campers for they would discontinue having there chairs and paying those they have already maxed there dwell from.

Dwell payments are gone.
The dwell measurement has been recoined "traffic" and is still used to determine the most popular places returned in the Search.
