Land Edit Addition: "Save"

I love terraforming! One thing I sorely miss is the ability to save at a specific point, so I can return to that point easily. Revert is cool, you know you can always go back to how the land was originally, but it is hard to restore a big land edit job somewhere in the middle.

How it would work in practice. I work to edit the land and reach a good point and I click to "save". This serves as a temporary revert point. This point stays in place until I choose to make a new save point. If I decide to try to do a new land edit, an enhancement to the current lay of the land and I mess up, there is a good chance that the saved spot before the edit will also be lost. I would like to be able to "revert to last save point" to avoid a mess and be able to be able to experiment more freely with ideas and not fear losing all my previous work..

Loki, this sounds like it should be a normal feature of SL already!

i'm wondering if this would use the original heightmap channels in the .raw file or if they would have to implement another channel for it?

seems easy enough to do though.. and i hope they seriously consider it.
