I'm tired of seeing money needed requests in a few different topics. Put them together and save us all from what surely will be a trend! Please LL, consider moving all threads asking for money to their own topic.

Topic name consideration could be, HELP, I've fallen and I can't get up, Send Money Soon.

No? How about, Critical Condition HELP!

No? How about, Hi Mom, Send Money!

No? How about..... what ideas do you have?

How bout none of this tripe at all?

When I first started seeing threads like this, I really questioned the appropriateness. How many other threads will spring up in these forums asking for money. It's different when you're asking for people to offer things to auction or donate for legit charities like Katrina Relief and Tsunami victims, as long as Linden Lab supports it. But this is just for someone's pocket. Hell, why don't we all just ask everyone to drop us a few 10K into each of our accounts.

When is LL going to look back at their own guidelines on this?

I just feel like it's a phonecall to one's house asking you to donate to a charity or whatever. There's no way to see if it's legit and if I wanted to be accosted by people asking me for money I'd go outside and walk along the streets.

Thank you Lash! Linden Lab, Res Mods... which is it going to be? Panhandling in the forums allowed or not?

If this got moved to the Feature Suggestion forum then I guess having a panhandling forum is a real possibility. Maybe you need to clarify that it was not the intent of your original post. My aplogies if I misunderstood your intentions, but I thought you were being facetious.

Panhandling is pretty much what is going on. It feels like telemarketers interrupting my dinner. The Guidelines were there saying this isn't allowed. And I did dread that once one slides by then the rest will trickle in. There's no way to prove these solicitations are legit and even if they were, What the hell?!

Is LL opening up the window for scammers to come to the forums and bombard people here with "give me your money cuz I need it" tactics?

Put the damn foot down. This is ridiculous.

Personally, I think that a board section shoudl be allowed to have these threads.
Then they can be ignored entirely and promptly deleted every midnight.
