Is it possible to have an autoban switch for people younger than say 5 days?

most griefers create a free account and log in to cause grief, most of them are all less than a day old, can we have a land switch that would ban these people.

i know not all new people are griefers but it would slow down the creation of alts just for grief, if the autoban sent a message telling them to come back in a few days i'm sure new people would understand.

In a way this could be done with scripting. Agent born on date can be retrieve. Then if less than a certain data put on the ban list.

You can do this with a script that uses llSensorRepeat to scan the area, then requests the born date / age of each avatar that it detects in a scan, and sets 24h timed bans on those who aren't old enough. If you do this you should cache the 'is old enough' results to reduce query load.

That said, I would suggest not doing this because it can give a bad impression of your place to newbies. You might not care if they're new, but who'se to say they'll come back later? If you make it obvious the ban is only until they're a few days old, not only will the newbies come back, the griefers will too.

I'd suggest that enabling push restriction and disabling 'run other scripts' on your parcel might be more effective. Disabling 'create objects' is very effective... unfortunately this breaks many of your scripts and you will need your regulars in a land group with the permission to bypass this if you want them rezzing anything.

a refinement on my original post.

place a probationary period on new users who do not use a credit card for verification, stop new users from using scripts or creating objects.
