I wonder if anyone has thought of creating a kind of multi-purpose HUD tool - one you could drop anims, gestures, location notecards, or other frequently used commands onto and then have one-click access to them from anywhere...?

There's something like this in Knight Online, where it's used as a useful quick way to have all your regular commands, weapon attacks, spells, etc. readily to hand. I'd love to see something of the sort in SL.

Saves having to remember the hotkeys or scroll through your Inventory to find the same stuff you use over and over again...

Does that make sense?

You mean like a multitool?

There's several, with and without HUDs, built by residents.

Actually, the Huddles EZ Animator Deluxe will do all that. It has a rather decent script/macro system that will let you handle anything an attachment is allowed to handle.

Yes - I was looking at that a little earlier today. Seems to handle anims pretty well, but I don't know how far beyond that I could get it to go - I'm not particularly adept at scripting. Strike that: I'm completely inept :-)

It's a tad expensive too, at least for the deluxe version. Friend of mine just bought one, tho - so I'm going to wait and see what she thinks and take the plunge if it seems worth it.

Thanks again,
