I don't know about you all but i could care less about half of these add-ons LL is adding to the game. If you want people to enjoy the game then make it more stable I'm tired (as Im sure 99% of the residents are) about being logged out every so often. And don't tell me to update this and that b/c it's gettin old I build PC's for a living so all my stuff is up to date. And don't even try to tell me that I have conflicting programs either considering the only thing this PC runs is SL. So what is the deal is it more important to show me how the water rippples and all that other good for nothing stuff or actually having a stable game to play and enjoy? Yeah I know i'm just one person and if i cancel my account no loss right? well what if alot of people cancel their accounts b/c they feel the same way I do? Then it becomes a problem and you start losing business. Just something for you to think about!

But new features are good for business...

It appears to me that flexiprims have touched off a big buying boom in Second Life. People are buying those new flexible dresses, silks, and hair (yes, and I'm one of them). The market effect of the new lighting is smaller, but still there.
Yes, we need client stability. But we need new features, too. The way to get them is for SL to expand enough to allow Linden Lab to afford to do both. So recruit your friends! |

so in other words...

So basically as long as L$'s are flowing then forget about making a stable client? I would bet people would but more RL money into this game if it was stable. Who actually cares if a dres is wavey? or even if ya hair is blowing? Not me what i care most about is a stable client if LL gets that done then yeah i'm all for the new things to come but till then in my opinion if ya want to bring in new residents that are willing to pay RL money for Sims or products then make it stable so that they don't get upset like most people are at the moment over this new update!

The game is stable for me, since this last update I have crashed once (and that was because I was in a laggy sim with 50 people in it, and tried to tp out..).
So if it is that unstable, please give us your specs, so maybe we can see something that is common with other people having problems. There was someone screaming in the forums that is the update was horrible (in about 3-4 difference threads) and after days of that, found out the persons video drivers were from 2004, even though, first thing asked was, did you update your drivers. So give us those spec, and lets see if we can find something to help you. _____________________

I ain't getting no real steak here in Philadelphia, they insist on slicing it up real thin and serving it in a bread roll with cheese.

Compare two possible press releases:
New SL 1.15! Now with way less bugs! andNew SL 1.15! With HTML Help! Also, they have a poilcy of only working on fun stuff which usually results in developers doing the easy 80% of the job and moving on to the next fun thing. Fixing bugs is usually percieved as "less fun" by developers for reasons yet unknown. |
