Hi all, I am proposing what I hope is a simple request into the voting system. http://secondlife.com/vote/index.php?get_id=350Basically, when hitting CTRL-I to bring up my inventory, focus should be on the Search field. I know LL doesn't want to encourage search use right now, but long term they will get the issue fixed. Having focus in search so I can begin typing once my hands are already on the keyboard would be nice. Unless I am mistaken, it used to hbe that way when hitting CTRL-I it would start searching. just the search was less usefull back then Now it's very good, btu you always have to take hand off keyboard. Discuss below, Max.

This could be a pain for those of us who use the WASD keys for movement. If we pull up our inventory, the keyboard focus will be hijacked and we won't be able to move (instead we'll start searching for "WWWWWWSDDDDD" or something). For that reason, I would want this to be optional and non-default.

Like someone clevery said in one of my WOW groups , "omg ruuuuuunn!!wwwwwwwssssddddd" (dead) But seriously what do Lindens have against options, seems every update we get less freedom (strangle whoever made the camera changes/grid) , its easier to lock things then to fix them ? (anyone remember ripple water?)

I like the new grid and while it's not ripple, you can see Jillian Callahan for splashy water [which clearly shows I don't remember ripple water - before my time] m.
