If you could make the left sleeve or pant leg shorter or longer then the right it woul open up posibilities for fashions
and it would allow, with the use of tattoos, different colors and styles for the left and right arm and legs.

This would be fantastic.
However, such a release would most likely break all existing clothing.
I'd say the most likely place to see something like this would probably be 2.0, assuming that it's a completely reworked from the ground up system, with little or no content carried in from the 1.0 system.

Its a limitation

I thought avatar creation was unlimited, Obviously that is not the case and its lie. If i want a red tatoo and a diffrent black one on the other arm, i can't do that. They need to specify that there are indeed limitations! Steve Fox

Another VERY good reason to support Poser 5 texture files.

Hmmm, a tank top with a layered long left sleeve, and a short right sleeve.
If you are simply applying a .TGA texture to an existing in game piece of clothing, then yes, your choices are limited. We have all seen the off-the-shoulder/sleeveless on one side, summer sleeved tops that many woman wear. This is a classic example of different sleeve/pant leg lengths. The game is not limiting you to the same length sleeves/legs. Your imagination is.

this has been a long standing point of discrimination with clothing. it would be extremely advantageous to be able to differentiate between left/right arms. as far as i know, this can already be done for legs. but not for arms or feet.. if there is a way for this to be implemented without destroying all the existing clothing, then yes.. it should definitely be done. PRONTO!

The difference in pant leg length is easily done as long as your using a texture, there are two layers you can use on the top leg section(pants and underwear)and two on the bottem(shoes and socks)this already provides more then enough posibiity for variation on the legs. As for the arm...I don't see it happening for a while, it would break every upper body texture we have right now because they would have to completely redo the UV setup and we'd loose a lot of space that we can pack stuff into in the chest and back area. I agree with Grim here I don't think we'll see this till 2.0 should they decide to scrap the current clothing we have, or maybe they'll make it opitional which version of AV we can use so that they wont have to..hmm

I know if they made it require a different texure for each arm it would make current clothese wacky, thats why i suggested making it so you could adjust the lengths of the sleeves seperately, that way you could just cut one sleeve off and use a tatoo underneath for the other arm. wouldent be a perfect solution but figured it might be something possible. But if the system cant work that way ohh well, was worth a try and I knew you could do different length pants, not sure why i added that part, wasnt thinking, lol, but thanks for the help still and I am not sure what you mean cashmere, sure i could shift the collar left or right but that doesent help me make the sleeves different colors/patterns.

Well getting different lengths would be easier true, just needs to be added as another morph target set, and possibly a second shirt layer(one that could use the fullness of the regular shirt) in combination with sleave length could allow for differnt sleaves just a matter of LL adding more morph targets eheh

I endorse anything that enhances in-world pants quality.
