Greetings fellow users, Lindens, and all those reading this. I've come to you with a very simple proposition that I think might be of use to some users, albeit not all.

Simply put, I think it would be a useful feature to be able to zoom your Mini-Map in and out, much like the Grid Map can be zoomed, instead of the "Zoom Close/Zoom Far" sort of zoom that's currently implemented.
Think about it for a moment... The Mini-Map window can be freely resized to just about any size the user wants, yet the Mini-Map inside remains the same size no matter how small or large the Mini-Map Window becomes. Seeing as the Mini-Map focuses on wherever your camera is at the given moment(on you, or focused elsewhere), I think it would be a simple process to add in a zoom function for the Mini-Map so you can see land more clearly, or see just how many Avatars are actually in the nearby area.

I'd say the default Mini-Map zoom makes a suitable "Zoom Out," or minimum size while somewhere around the size of a full-zoomed Grid Map would work for a fully zoomed-in Mini-Map. As it goes, the user icons would stay the exact same size while adjusting position on a growing or shrinking Mini-Map. All and all, I think this would be a very good and very useful function.

However... That's for the rest of you to decide.

Sincerely,
Jessica U. Ingmann

It does have a cheapo-zoom.
Right click and "Zoom Small," "Zoom Medium," and "Zoom Large."
Of course, no one in their right mind USES this because by default the mini-map is at "Zoom Large."
