Hmm... I had an idea.. This is like my first time writing in the forums for a LOOOOONG time. Im trying to find a post in the scripting section... woah, thats a pain... I found it. I had an idea. Maybe, just maybe, we can take all of the newcomers and place them on a grid. After a while, when they decide, they can move up to the larger grid, whenever they feel that they can handle SL. People from the main grid can go over there after lets say they have been playing for at least a month. People from the newcomer grid can come over to the main grid anytime, but cannot come back until they reach 1 or two months of SL age. This way, we dont have 100s of new people a day (last time I checked). There is a very special sense of community in SL, but when soooo many people are in it, it feels crowded. Some people may agree, some people might not. Who knows? Comments? PS: Still waiting for something about my pacman idea Some know from the IRC chat. thats another post however.

i kinda think segregating new people is a great way to kill community feeling. you wouldn't get to see how awesome sl can be or be welcomed by older players. you'd just see alot of other people going "huh? what's going on? how do i move?" anyway we got something like this now. you start out on an island with tutorials all around you and when you're ready you can join the big kids. there's no time limit which is good cause everyone matures at different speeds.

They did this, I think, when they removed the credit card requirements for trials. They limited folks to a few Sims.
It bombed terribly, because no one could see 80% of the world's creations. Thus, it was a "stupid" program, and thus deleted.
