Like most people, I often end up talking to 3, 4, or 5 people in IM's concurrently. What can I say? I'm friendly and chatty. It would be nice to be able to quickly switch from one IM to the other without having to take my hands off the keyboard, pick up the mouse, and click on the IM I want to reply to.
I used to use an add-on program for AOL called "Power Tools" that had a great feature that did just that: it used the TAB key. Hitting the TAB key simply would take you to the next IM in your window. This made it easy, easy, easy to carry on multiple IM conversations at the same time.
It seems like this would be a simple thing to add to the interface, no? How about it, Lindens?

As long as it only worked when the IM window is active, that would be a great idea...how many times have we either said something meant for an IM in chat, vice versa, or heaven forbid said someting to the wrong IM window *blushes* lol
I wonder if Lindens even play Second Life, because it seems if they did they would come up with these ideas all on their own, because I'm sure all of them are extremely intelligent people.

Reading further in these forums, I see that the TAB key does have (or DID have!) other functionality....but....it could still do the duty I suggested above when the IM window is active.
