We don't need this because inventory doesn't stream at login anymore so it's pretty much instantaneous. Or have I missed something?

I believe Hiro's referring to the current login queue, and the length of it thereof.
It might clear some people's minds if they knew, with some difficulty, that they weren't going to be able to get in for another hour.
