Hi!

maybe its no big deal for most of you (American time zone inhabitants;)), but for me (central europe timezone) its sometimes quite frustrating to handle the eventtimes.
my suggestion is something like a second clock, or maybe you could adjust your clock and it automatically calculates the time of an event.

sincerelly yours,

martin

I just learned GMT, and the main time zones..

I know my time zone is +1 to SL time...So just figure out what your number is.

I would hate to see a my timezone clock, or even 2 on the screen (SL time and my time)..as that would make event planning difficult, as it would be posted in there time zone, in sl time zone, and sometimes get mixed up and pick the wrong one and event is hours after or before you planned it etc..

I just +1 if i want to know what time in RL, otherwise while in game, I am on SL time.

but yes, seriously, having the client able to detect your timezone from the localization settings of your computer, then correct all times client side would be helpful :).

Maybe Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T (unless thats something already :p ) could bring up your local time.. Or some keystokes anyway..

It could work if the event listings were automatically adjusted at the client, but it would still create confusion for people talking about events, or people posting about events on the forum.

It's actually better if all of the grid is the same time, even though it's a time that few of us already were using.

And it would really make me mad to know that my clock, which sells poorly, would sell even worse because it wasn't telling correct grid time for some people.

I actually like having the client show SL time (PST). In Japan, my time (and day) is often wildly different than the mainstream group, so having the client time and my local computer time on the screen helps speed the mental math. :)
