I dunno, I was thinking about voting and "The wisdom of the crowd." What if the crowd doesn't really know what it wants? I see really vague yet popular proposals getting more votes than simple, precise, and do-able proposals.

Like "Make Scripting Easier" is always popular.. but various ways to make it easier never get many votes. Little tweaks like being able able to change the name of script/notecard while you edit it; separating the insert drop-down box into three or four drop-down boxes for events, funcions, contstants; having the tooltip info for lsl avalible to read *before* it's inserted into the script; inserting the parameters and curly brackets as well as the event handler, allowing for multiple templates with examples for listeners (including an example of how to use a channel other than 0 and how to use listen remove), various events, poseballs, and other common but different scripts; and so on never really get proposed/voted on because people aren't interested or know that it would help. >.<;

There's also a cry for better support for furry avs, but most proposals are very vague and/or would reqire a major overhaul of the avatar system. 0.o But little things like allowing attachments to be worn or removed via guestures (my pet prop 1260), multiple objects at attachment points, and layered textures don't get the votes even though it would kinda contribute to what they want.

Maybe there should be a way to vote off annoyances that is keep separate from the main feature proposal votes? Or perhaps ways to link, combine, or chistmas tree proposals together? It's just kinda frustrating to see votes go to vague proposals that could take a year to impliment, when little things that could make SL better in a month or less go my the wayside because people don't want to waste thier votes. Why say you want little things, when you can ask for big things?
