Just tried to do the above earlier and found I couldn't, bummer. I asked on Live Help and no luck except a suggestion that I should post it here. I'm not sure how you'd do it but there could be a 16sqm space owned by a common group perhaps, I don't really have any others ideas so I'll leave it at that.

What do you mean by “Being able to reset your home to the WA”? What is WA?

Welcome Area? You want to set that as your home location?

No way to do it that I know of; you can only set home to land owned by you, or by a group you belong to.

I know, thats why I'm suggesting it as a feature, someone may set their home to land owned by a group that they're a part of and then leave and own no land of their own, they're stuck with that home until they join another group, I'm not asking if there is a way to set it as your home again, I'm suggesting that it should be, thats why it's in Feature Suggestions.

My guess is this would not be implemented as the Welcome Area has enough traffic from people who haven't set homes for them to "encourage" people to reset their home there.

I will note that you can launch SecondLife through a URL secondlife://SimName/X/Y which is sort of like re-homing yourself.

why don't you just suggest people be able to set their home to the WA and not have to bother temporarily joining a group? seems simpler.

or maybe that people can set their home to any land they own or any Linden owned land.

I would love to see this! I'd love to be able to have more than one home location set. Ideally I'd like to be able to choose any land that I own to log in to without having to reset home each time.

This would be a good thing.

It also happens if you have your own land. If you set that to your home to your land, then sell it, its still your home point.

If you dont belong to a group with land, or buy new land, you cant change it either...

I vote YES to this proposal.
Whoops. I guess I've been spending too much time in the Nomic thread :)

I also wish there was somehow the Ahern telehub thingie would stop handing out notecards to you after you've been there a few times -- it's like, you already know! =)

How many dupes of THOSE do you have in your Inv? ;)

hehe no kiddin Torley. that actually makes me think twice about even going to the welcome area. it's like people at the perfume counters who jump on you even though you walked through 5 minutes before and told them to drop dead. :D
