There should be a way to upgrade the allowed prim counts on my own land. I can buy a second land to use the prims on my first land but thast silly since the second land would be un-used.
Why its not possible for a fee to upgrade the allowed prims?

Buy land thats adjacent to the first piece you bought. If thats not possible, sell off the first piece and look for a larger lot.
A sim can hold about 15000 prims and this figure is what Linden Lab believes each server can handle reasonably well for now. This is proportionately divided and allocated by the land size. So, more land = more prims. |

I think the land owner should be able to select the trade off as to how many prims vs "Temporary on res or Avatar prims" that are allowed on his land.
For example my building is only 1024sq in size and it regularly has over 1000 prims in it due to all the avatars and there atatchments. Worse yet there are a lot of "partly transparent" prims that lower the FPS even more. Note: there is a way to get more prims. ![]() 1. Link high prim items together 2. Place them in a small prim that scans every second or so for it. 3. Place the big pile into the small prim and use a script to rez the big piles when the server deletes them. 4. Place the small prim in place. 5. Get LL mad at you. Note: I don't use this technique. |

Land = prims.
More Prims, more land. It's a direct metaphor for allotted server resources. It doesn't need to be adjacent to your "main" plot, just in the same sim. The sims with an "object bonus" - namely, the Nova Albion city sims, and occasional special event sims like Burning Life - aren't really allowing more prims on a total server basis; it's simply a matter of certain portions of the sim are not using many prims (i.e., the roads and enforced empty spaces in Nova Albion) and can be used elsewhere. _____________________
