Update preferences

Idk if all the pref settings are stored in the registry, text file, or whatever, But I think it would be possable, "even if the format changes" for the update to scan for the current preferences and apply them to the new install.

It wouldnt be a big deal if the updates were not often, But they are.

Every time we download updates "if we remember to" we need to go and setup all the options again.

Yes I want Local Lighting
Yes I want Shadows
NO I dont want to disable Far clip

My preferences are remembered and applied to updates. Did you install into the default directory? I don't ever remember having to reset my preferences after an update, and my settings are no where near default. Even the color of my particles is retained between updates.

Well its not the "default" folder, I install most things to D:\Program Files\
But it is the same dir that the last install was in.

Ok well if sl does this already disregard this thread, I guess ive got something wrong on my end.
