If these ideas have been kicked around before, I apologize.
It looks like the group membership tools could use some updating. At the very least, it would be nice if a group officer could download a csv list of current group members from the SL Website.
I think a couple of additional LSL features would be nice:
A dataserver check on an avie's membership in the same group under which the scanner is set out (IF set out by a group officer). Slightly more powerful than the "same group" LSL call, since it wouldn't matter which group tag the avie had active. But NOT to snoop around in the full group list for the avie, since the task could only query for its own group tag.
And, a permissions request against an avie (in the same sim) to add the avie to the same group under which the scanner was set out, IF set out by a group officer. This would spawn a dialog similar to an offer to animate.
I'd really like to see some variation of both ideas, but at least the first one. Periodically clicking through the in-word editor to check member names one at a time is rapidly turning into a huge PITA.
