Our current undo feature only un-moves items, un-deletes items, and I think...not too sure about this one....un-changes the size of items. I propose that they make it a building tool that will undo color changes and texture changes. It would be especially helpful for those accidental clicks that turn an entire building into some strange texture like, curtains and then you have to go around and re-texture and color every little piece of the building because you forgot to choose "select individual" or "select texture".

Yeah, I /wish/ that it undid deletion. The primitive undo feature only undoes movement and sizing. You're absolutely right, I hate it when i color my whole project with a stupid texture and have to meticulously redo the whole thing. SL needs to include undoing of texture, deletion, and addition! Vote vote vote!

My permissions suite keeps an undo list in an easy-to-use manner. It's slightly more cumbersome to use, but it's a safety net anyway.

We *have* "undo" for colors, etc. already

In Software Engineering, there is an established practice of keeping a pre-modification version of a piece of code, for the purpose of reversion (undo). You could do the same thing with SL objects

Yes, but its a much bigger pain in the butt to recover an object in SL than to recover code from a backup file. That is as simple as a cut/paste... Especially when you are working with a partial structure. Reverting to the 'correctly' textured objects requires draging them around and repositioning them in relation to everything else all over again. Depending on the build, it's often easier (though it still **_SUCKS_**!) to simply fix all the screwed up textures again. I had completely given up on dragging textures onto a selected prim face because for some completely unimaginable reason, SL then decides its a good idea to automaticaly reselect every face of every linked prim... After trashing whole projects for the umpteenth time, I only used the texture picker. But now I'm screwed again untill the 'no-mod texture causes bugged prims' issue with the texture picker. Now I'm back to dragging textures onto a prim face again. Oops! Forgot to zoom out select some random object or the ground and then zoom back in to reselect the single prim face again before I can rotate/adjust the one texture I'm working with... Well, I trashed a project the other day again... Had to go around and reset the rotation and scale of every texture. On the upside, I didn't have to reselect every texture again as well... WHY DOES DRAGGING A SINGLE TREXTURE ONTO A SINGLE FACE OF A SINGLE PRIM CAUSE EVERY OTHER LINKED PRIM FACE TO AUTOSECT?!?!?!?! ARG!?!?!?!?! ARG!?!?!?!?! ARG!?!?!?!?! I could live witout an undo if there were not so many 'gotcha' traps to texturing. Racer P.

Please go vote for this if you are in favor of it....this and another thread have several voiced yes's but my 6 votes are still the only ones. Please vote What I'm looking for is a one stroke "undo your last mistake" kind of button that includes colors, textures, and deletions the way ctrl - z undoes movement and size changes.

Anyone else want to vote for this??
Prop. 108! Torley says we need at least 500 votes before LL will even look at this.

To add, even if you aren't at 500 votes yet, it's something I intend to follow along--and therefore, as a representative of Linden Lab, continue to observe. I do believe it's useful too, no doubt about that.
