Ponchos, Chlamys, and other drapey bits

I was wondering if there were a way to impliment a new clothing option like the skirts but for the upper body. This would help in creating things Like Ponchos, robes, Chlamysi, and a few other things that dont really work well as a shirt or jacket. Im not really sure if these can be made already as a scripted item or not but i havent seen anything like them in the game so far.

There was a thread a while back that proposed a new clothing item called a CAPE. It could possibly be used for a poncho or chlamys, depending on how it was done of course. Checking the voting list, I see proposal 199 has captured this. Only 20 votes so far!

I dont think it's too much to ask to have just one mesh besides the (aptly named) "badly fitting skirt." I know Linden has changed the name to just "skirt" now, but that hardly solves the problem.

Although, if there was a proposal for "real" breasts and hair that actually hangs and moves it would be even better.

IMO it's these kind of crucial details that make the game work regardles of whether this might be obvious to anyone on a day to day basis. Just think how much of SL revolves around clothes and avatar appearance for a second.

Imagine if we were only one step backwards from our current state.
We would all look like Russian nesting dolls with painted on faces.

I've inferred that Havok 2 might help with either of these... but I could easily be wrong. It would be nice to have a ponytail that looks more like hair and less like a hair-colored fishtail sticking out the back of my head.

To work properly though they would have to be seperate prims which would involve some pretty radical changes to clothes and basic avi forms, so I guess its not likely anytime soon.

Any girl in SL who has a large chest probly knows of the problems or which I speak. The bigger you make them, they just stretch the texture all out of recognition.

Try wearing one of Chip Midnight's open mesh shirts and see what happens. Or better yet load up an anatomical skin (not Chips, havent tried them yet), and notice the blurry dinerplate size nipples.

I think the head Linden must be a legman (or girl). You have to set the slider to about 80% before you even see what looks to me like a C-cup.
