My votes are spent, but I think it's an excellent idea. The forum these auto-created threads land in should be Feature Suggestions, IMHO. That way, regular readers of this forum can note that the suggestion has been made before, with multiple links provided by Jeffrey and others to previous threads, and we can all summarize why everyone previously said it was a good idea or a bad one.
I did suggest in a hotline post that the top 20 or so proposals should be retro-fitted with links to discussion threads if they lacked them (only 3 of the top 20 proposals had such links). Jesse went through and did that, and even went to the trouble of finding existing threads to link to, but in the one case I was most concerned about (prop 279, all sims Mature), linked back to my hotline post, so people STILL don't have a place to discuss it. Oops. I think discussion threads really need to be mandatory for proposals. If they don't have one, yeah, create one automatically.

Given it's worked so well with the Script Library (Nada rocks), this might be workable. Then again, this form of thread creation should be moved to a completely new forum due to the volume of spam it would cause.
Furthermore, thread creation should be cancelled out by the option to use an existing thread as the source.
The question becomes: Could this be automated? That's a tough one.

I've seen Jesse's posts but I like my title format ;0 and new forum idea... I don't really have experience with vBulletin, but the LL folks are smart cookies ;0
