When you change something in the object inventory, it starts reloading. But you don't see it reloading and you can try to do other things like adding more stuff to it or deleting stuff from it. And then when it's done reloading only the first action took effect. This is really annoying Also when it's done loading and you selected an object/script in the inventory and the reloading is done you lose focus on the selected script/object and if you press the delete-button the whole object gets deleted. And this happens very often... try deleting a lot of inventory stuff from an object 1 by 1 you'll soon find yourself WITHOUT an object. Can you please disable the object inventory while it's loading and fix the deletion of multiple items, and dragging (or copy/paste) of multiple items from an object to my own inventory. because those don't seem to work either. really slows me down a lot!!!

yeah been there done that, now i never touch my keyboard, if im deleting or dragging something out of prims. (right click delete object in prim saved me) its hoorrrrible slow yes. Selecting and hitting delete, and chances youll delete the prim instead is risky - Blew my first dance braclet that way , 4k'ish went poof .doh

I cannot type the level of frustration i have had with this bug. I would sooner have my cat naw my limbs off over a two week period then have this bug (i really hate my cat at this point in time, he woke me up at 5 am this morning, just so he could be patted). There is no other bug in SL that drives me more crazy then this. If you see me in SL and i'm in a bad mood, it's probably because i had to delete 10+ scripts or other items from an objects inventory. second on my list of stupid bugs is having duplicate scripts in object inventory not properly being registering events or being able to call llGetScriptName and return the correct script. In a close third comes random deletion of tortured prims. They only auto return when you update them or change there size. D*** you HAVOK.

Glad you agree and hope to see it fixed in the new version of SL... really annoys me too but I also find that using rightclick-delete is safe... but still it takes me like 2 or 3 minutes to delete 20 scripts instead of the 5 seconds it should take... so PLEASE fix it. oh and with the accidental deletion.. the objects goes to 'trash' first so I never really lost an object that way....

From: Strife Onizuka (i really hate my cat at this point in time, he woke me up at 5 am this morning, just so he could be patted) Why would this make you mad, Strife? This is exactly the reason your cat owns you in the first place, to be petted at any and all hours of the day or night. And all the feeding and other things that cats like. This problem sounds more or less the same as the other lag-induced problems that bite us, like the randomly resetting prim positions, etc, etc... I hope they can get these cleared up soon...

(the other cat avoids all human kind like the plauge, i bet she is scared of rats too) I would say so too, if the client would do smart inventory window updates then this would likely be a non issue (or if it would remember the active componant when it does update).

My seething hate for this bug knows no bounds. Right now Im working on a project that requires the periodic insertion of about 14 scripts in one object for a full update. Luckily for me, the test object can be cleaned by a simple script with a for loop, but this GUI update bug makes my life miserable when I insert the scripts.
Please LL, fix this! Its driving us scripters insane! >_< ==Chris

A little off topic but... Could you throw in the ability to Ctrl or Shift select multiple items while you are at it? God only knows how much time would be saved cleaning inventory or moving files from objects if we could select more than one.
And if this can be done someone please tell me how cause I am going crazy over this.
Oh and the voices are telling me to ask if could someday be able to work on our inventories offline then have them sync when we log in. Please? Pretty please?

agh, yes, i despise this bug. i have deleted the prim instead of a script a million times. techzen's idea would go a long way toward preventing this, because there wouldn't be as much of a need to delete right after another delete.
