personal textures cached to accelerate the entire system

I have noticed when I log in it sometimes takes a long time for my avatars textures to show and the textures of my owned property on my land
it seems to me if the system had an option to allow users to make a perminant cache in thier home system holding all of the textures in thier avatar and the objects they personally own it would not only accelerate logging in as these textures would not have to be downloaded to the same user time and time again but also save massive amounts of second life bandwidth as a large chunk of constantly repeated downloading would be shortcut

if the option is limited to a users own textures this would not affect needing to upload textures for others to see and not affect texture sales

^^' you don't quite understand how the system currently works but your idea is none the less a good one

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why this wasn't implemented on day one.

If i'm on my own parcel, why is there ever a rez time? It makes no sense. It should just pull evrything from my own HD.

If people don't want their parcels cacheable, then they should set a flag so that people can't go through walls or whatever with cheats then they can should be able to say don't cache me.

How many people are going to check that flag on, LindenLabs?
