Proposal: Allow Pre-1.6 Nametag Behavior As An Option
While I think there are improvements that those who liked the old style name tag behavior would like even better, for the sake of simpicity I would like to stick to a nice simple" let the name tags work like they used to in 1.5 as an option" proposal

I'd like to post a vote for this - how can I change a vote already made?

I have already use all my votes, how can I change one to this proposal?
Are there other similar proposals?

Changing your votes

Just go to something you have voted for and reduce or remove your vote.
You will also get you votes back when anything you vote for is approved or abandoned.

I would vote for this if I could (10 proposals). Seriously though, I've been saying this should be an option since the beginning of Preview 1.6. Why it isn't kinda baffled me.

All you need to do is set your chat bubble opacity to 0%, and you've got the old nametag behaviour.

That is just not true, Xy Pole.

That is not true at all.
The old name tags moved differently than the new ones, the distance between the avatar and the name is different. The new tags are positoned with the text spaced for having a bubble around them, make the bubble transparent and the tag is spaced far away. The tags will move around dramtically as you pivot, although the avatars they label are still and the pivot is only ten or fifteen degrees. The new tags will actually move such that for avatars spaced from left to right the names are positioned from right to left. They new tags are positioned so as to avoid overlapping the names even if it means the label is not clearly identifying a specific avatar.
What you say is just false.

Strongly agree we need an option to turn this behavior on/off.
If an Avatar is animated - the name will stay semi-stationary, but the avatar will drift.... far. Very difficult to tell who is who in a crowd of dancing AV's.

Signed. I like the original better in some cases.
