While in general this would be bad form and could just be a annoyance to those that don't want to be sat upon. I think it would be awesome to have a LSL function that in some manner gives permission for other avatars to sit on a object attached to someone. I can think of many applications for this especially since the introduction of custom animations.

This is an idea I've thought about before as a means to do animations like a man carrying a woman... if this has been done already, I haven't seen it but then again I don't get out much anymore. lol. Anyway, at least for what I need it for, I have an idea for a solution but I have too many other projects going on right now. Once I finally do get a chance to give it a go, I'll post what I did and the results.

There shouldn't be any problem with this as far as griefing is concerned, as long as suitable permissions can be sorted out. The "mature sports" fraternity would probably find many good uses for it, but there would be huge numbers of other applications too, like for example proper dancing with partners, tug-of-war, judo and wrestling, seances, formation skydiving ...
![]() What about issues related to movement though, are there any difficult problems associated with who's in control and whether the tail is wagging the dog? Can it work symmetrically, or would the second party (or all additional parties) to attach then lose 3 degrees of translational freedom and become controlled in those 3 by the person who attached to the object first? Perhaps add yet another permission to grant all attached parties equal control? _____________________

Er, I would say make it like you're just sitting on an object attached to that point, and you move as any object on that point would act.
Add something like llAttachedSitTarget() which acts just as llSitTarget does and auto-enables anyone to sit on your object. (you could of course script it to only allow certain people) Adding even more permissions would just be annoying. Remo Yossarian, somehow made a ridable sadle of some sort. Not sure how he did it. _____________________
