De-geeking the Inventory

A small change [to many of my gripes about the inventory]
might be a name change.

"Pocket"

This makes it seem friendlier and reminds you of sitting in front of
the TV on a saturday morning, watching cartoons.

"Hey Charlie, have you got a 40ft ladder on you?"
*rummages in pocket, tongue sticking out* "Yeah, here you go!"

Items should also be called "Stuff"

and things should be dated.

I have bought "stuff" and forgotten what it was called, and recent didn't work
because I had logged out earlier.

It would be nice if stuff had dates... "stuff I got today" "stuff I got yesterday"
"stuff from last week" "stuff from last month" "old stuff".
or organised a bit like this.

Your Pocket still needs a way to organise stuff cleanly, find multiples of the same
file and organise things a lot more efficiently into special folders.

But then I've said all that before.

I agree there really needs to be some other way of organizing and maintaining inventory. Mine is so out of hand, I don't think I'll ever get it right. Especially Objects, because a lot ot things you have to rez and see just what it is then decide if you want to keep it or delete it, it's just a tedious task for sure.

Hi Wolfie,

Recent will work... it's just set by default to "since last login". Just click Filters, then Modify Current... you can change it from last login to a number of hours or number of days...

You can also tell it to select types (clothes, notes, objects, scripts etc), or none or all...

Thanks for that, I have set mine for the last five days which should help there.

And yes it does have folders for certain objects as I saw when I opened filters.
but the problem is that sometimes when you unpack a new avitar or something
it unloads where it pleases... so You've just bought that nice new avitat "Riff-Raff"
from Rocky Horror... but you can't find it because it's under A for Animatronic
Productions.

That's the sort of thing which annoys and confuses me.

Um...I don't have any problem with my inventory. I always keep things in sub folders, seperated into subcategories menus. :P Very easy for me to find things there.
